Getting to Münster

By plane:

a) From Frankfurt Aiport (FRA) to Münster (Westf) Central Station

  • From the Arrival area to Frankfurt Aiport (train station)
    • Passengers arriving at Terminal 2, please proceed to Terminal 1, Hall B via SkyLine train (free of charge).
    • From Terminal 1, please proceed to the long-distance train station “Frankfurt Fernbahnhof”.
    • Check out the Fraport Transfer Guide or the location map to get more information about the airport.
  • From the Frankfurt Airport (train station) to Münster (Westf) Central Station
    • Tickets are available from the machines in the long-distance train station in the AIRail Terminal. They can be purchased using an EC debit card or a credit card.
    • To proceed follow the instructions in section “2. By train with Deutsche Bahn”.

b) From Düsseldorf International (DUS) to Münster (Westf) Central Station

  • From the Arrival area to Düsseldorf Airport (train station) via SkyTrain
    • Please follow the sign to SkyTrain at the airport
    • Check out the location map to get more information about the airport.
  • From the Düsseldorf International (train station) to Münster (Westf) Central Station
    • Tickets are available from the machines in the long-distance train station “Düsseldorf Flughafen” and the SkyTrain station at the airport.
    • To proceed follow the instructions in section “By train with Deutsche Bahn”.

c) From Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) to Münster (Westf) Central Station

  • From the Arrival area to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (train station)
    • Schiphol station is situated directly below the airport.
    • Please follow the sign to Schiphol Plaza and to the trains.
    • Check out the location map to get more information about the airport.
  • From the Amsterdam Aiport Schiphol (train station) to Münster (Westf) Central Station
    • Train departure information and international tickets are available at the ticket offices of NS Hispeed, which are situated close to the meeting point at Schiphol Plaza. You can also buy your train ticket at the website of NS Hispeed where you can also find train departure information. You can buy tickets for travel on ICE International.
    • Please keep in mind that a direct connection does not exist.

d) From the airports to Münster by taxi

  • The easiest way to get to Münster is to take a taxi.
    • The ride from Düsseldorf International costs 215 Euro.
    • The ride from Frankfurt/Main Airport costs 450 Euro.
    • You can pay with credit card.

By train with Deutsche Bahn:

    We highly suggest to have a look at the App DB Navigator (iOS/ Android). It helps you to find the right stations, trains and prices. The mainstation of Münster is Münster (Westf) Hbf

  • How to purchse a ticket:
    • First change the operating language to your native language or English.
    • Enter your desired destination (“Münster (Westf) Hbf”) and continue.
    • Seats can be booked up to 3 months (international up to 2 months) before the journey and can be reserved separately from buying a ticket: You can also make reservations if you have already bought a ticket

By coach with FlixBus.

By car:

  • ​​​You can travel to Münster by car via the motorways “Autobahn A1” and “Autobahn A43”.
  •  If you are coming from the north of Münster, leave the Autobahn A1 at the exit “Münster-Nord” in the direction of Münster (Steinfurter Straße). Proceed for about 3 kilometres until you see the congress venue (the Leonardo-Campus) on the right-hand side.
  • If you are coming from the south of Münster, leave the Autobahn A1 or the Autobahn A43 at the exit “Münster-Süd” in the direction of Münster (Weseler Straße). Proceed for about 7 kilometers until you can see one of the congress venues (Leonardo-Campus) on the left-hand side. There is a parking lot at the backside of the building.
  • All venue locations are easily reachable by foot from Münster Palace (see conference venue).

Getting to the Venue

By Bus

  • We highly suggest to have a look at the App DB Navigator (iOS/ Android). It has a handy localisation feature that finds the closest bus stop for you. Just type in your destination Johann-Krane-Weg or alternatively Technologiepark.
  • From Main Station (Münster Westf. (Hbf)) to Leonardo Campus:
    At Main Station take the bus “13” direction “Technologiepark” and get off at the station “Technologiepark”.
  • Alternatively take the bus “9” direction “Sprakel Nienberger Str.” and get off at the station “Leonardo-Campus”.

By Taxi

  • At the main station you will find a taxi stand.

By bicycle

  • Bicycling is also a popular option in Münster. It allows you to quickly and efficiently get around the whole city.
    You can rent a bike for 8 Euro a day or for 20 Euro for three days at Münster central station („Radstation“).
